I decided to go to the capital of Australia on vacation. My first stop was in Canberra, Australia. When I got there I put a sweatshirt on because it was 60 degrees outside. Normally it is around 80 degrees, the only reason it is not is because it was 6:00 in the morning! It felt like 50 degrees to me. I still saw a handful of people that were walking down the street doing pretty active stuff like taking a really early morning jog.I went on a jog myself. For breakfast I went to a place called The Elk and Pea Eating House. The restaurant served central american breakfast food. It was good and delicious.
One of my friends told me to go to this hotel. The hotel I stayed at is called Peppers Gallery hotel. It cost $99 to stay there one night. The beds are really comfy. The hotel I am staying at is a 5 star hotel. There is a bar, an italian restaurant, a garden, and a gym. This hotel is awesome!
While I was in Canberra I saw some of the tourist attractions. My favorite tourist attraction was the Questacon. It was an interactive kid’s science and tech museum. The reason I went to this place is the outside is so colorful and I knew I was going to learn some cool stuff. I learned some interesting stuff like Canberra has been the capital of Australia for 105 years!
Canberra has a mountain range called Brindabella. The highest point on the Brindabella range is called Mount Majura. I climbed all the way to Mount Majura. Mount Majura is 888 meters in the air! It took me a total of 5 days until I got to the top. I had to go a little higher each day for my body to get used to the altitude. Now I am going to Sydney!

Sydney, Australia
Finally I get to Sydney, Australia. The reason I was here is because it is the biggest city in Australia and I am on vacation. It took 3 hours and 34 minutes to get from Canberra to Sydney, About 180 miles. I got in Sydney at 7:00 pm. The food in Sydney is delicious and very satisfying. The restaurant I am eating at is called Prime Steak restaurant. The steak is the best steak I have ever had. It is a very deluxe restaurant. There was even crystal bars!
After I finished eating my dinner at my hotel which by the way my food was delicious, I went to see an opera show at the Sydney Opera house. 
The reason I went to the Sydney Opera house is because it is one of the most famous opera house’s in the world. The Sydney Opera house is a big tourist attraction in Sydney. The show started at 8:00 pm. It was awesome being there in the Sydney Opera house. The building is known for it’s shape. The Sydney Opera house is shaped the way it is because the type of music that is played in the Sydney Opera house sounds better the way it is shaped.
The next day I wanted to know what the weather was outside. I found out on my computer that it was 73 degrees outside. After I ate at the hotel I was staying at and the food was fantastic, I went outside to get some fresh air. It felt like the perfect day for me. Not too hot, not too cold. The wind helped a lot and that is what made it a perfect day.
Sydney is pretty flat and it is right beside the Pacific ocean. A lot of Sydney is next to water. That is because of the Pacific ocean. The reason Sydney is the place I visited is because it is the most populated place in Australia. Sydney has 4.92 million. That is pretty close to 5 million. Speaking of population did you know that australia has more sheep than people! That is amazing! Well, I think it is time to go to the Gold Coast now.

Gold Coast, Australia
I finally got to the Gold Coast! It took 470 minutes to get here. About seven hours. It is 9:00 right now. The hotel I am staying at is called Mantra on view hotel. It is a 4 star hotel. The restaurant was still open when I got there but there was only a couple of people there that I saw. My waitress was very nice and the food was awesome. When I got to my room the view was awesome. That is probably why the hotel has on view in the title. The bed was pretty comfy and the room I was staying at was a decent size.
The next day I went to the Warner Bros. Movie World! That is where a lot of movies were filmed. I got to see one movie that was in the middle of the filming. It was about a kangaroo and koalas vs. snakes and giraffes. Kangaroos and koalas won. The film was very interesting. There are roller coasters too. But I did not go on any. 
After I went to the Warner Bros movie world I went to my hotel and looked up on the internet about the food in Australia and found out that most children like fast food way better then normal 30 minutes to an hour food. That was pretty interesting information for me. I could tell that the information was pretty much dead on because any fast food restaurant I went by when I was going to my hotel I could see threw the windows and see at least one child in each of the fast food places I went by.

Finally I get to Perth! It took 50 hours to get to Perth from the Gold Coast. I loved being in the gold coast but I knew I had to go to perth so now I’m here. It is 5:00 pm here in Perth. The hotel I am at is called Parmelia Hilton Perth. It is an awesome 5 star hotel and it only cost $65 per night. The food is even better then the hotel itself. AdelphI lunch is what I got at the restaurant in my hotel which is a type of sandwich. At first glance, my room was tiny, but once I went through the hallway in my room all I thought was big, big, big. The room was enormous! I sat down on the bed in my room and it was so comfy. I can see how this hotel is a 5 star hotel.
In the morning 30 minutes after I woke up I went straight to a historical sight. It was called the Perth Mint. The Perth Mint is where money is made. You can also learn about the history of the mint and its money. I learned some interesting stuff about the gold rush in perth. I found out that the perth mint has been around for over 100 years! Also that the Perth money system has gold and silver coins.
The next day I went to the Perth Zoo. There are 1184 animals and 168 species there. Many animals are trained at the zoo so zookeepers are better able to feed them, groom them, and give them medicine.Most are not trained to do tricks, though. You can attend many different shows where zookeepers do demonstrations with different animals. At the zoo there are animals from Asia, Australia, South America, and Africa. I saw a Koala at this zoo and I was so thrilled.
The last day I was in Perth I decided to go to Kings Park and Botanic Garden. It is one of the largest and prettiest parks in the world. There are over 3000 species of plants, and two thirds of the park is a nature preserve to protect the bushland. When I was there I saw magnificent views of the Swan and Canning rivers. I wanted to take a walk so I went on one of the many bushland trails. I stumbled upon a huge dinosaur playground and at night I came back because they show movies outdoors when it is warm.
